I live and die by accurate colors, and that is why I am a firm believer in knowing your color profile and keeping all pieces of the process in check.
I have long preached shooting and working in, at least, AdobeRGB and this article goes a long way in explaining why I am so adamant about color accuracy. Your camera, monitor, software, and printer all need to be able to show colors as you what them to. Without calibration in a thought through color profile you simply will not know what people will see. I need the blue sky to be the same blue when I shoot, edit, print, and share to the web.
