Ansel Adams, The Father of Color?

In a recent Smithsonian article on Ansel Adams' color photography work, one can not help to wonder what else Adams may deserve to be known for.

Those of us in the world of landscape photography know him as the father of landscape photography, master of the darkroom, and maestro of the monochrome; but many forget that he was a talented portrait photographer and also a very sought after color photographer.

The article is here.

Well worth the read.
